Fall has come (and gone)

Here at the Hoyer Images world headquarters we are gearing up for massive interior renovations with wood floors and a new kitchen to be installed starting in the next week. I just transferred a large sum of money to pay off the floors and for whatever reason that has me thinking about this fall’s photos. (Anyone want to buy some to support the new world headquarters? Just let me know!)

.

Anyway, this fall has been a beautiful one and it’s a bit sad to be on the backside of it now with winter on deck. I don’t feel like I got out shooting much - certainly not as much as I’d like (dang bills-paying job getting in the way) - but I did enjoy the photography I managed to squeeze in. Below are a few of my favorite fall shots, many of which revolve around the Mississippi. I feel so fortunate to have the river so close by and, while it will likely never come close to replacing the Great Lakes as my favorite body of water, it is not a bad thing to have just minutes away. As usual, please do click on the shots to see them in the entirety.

Once these are posted I need to start thinking about making some photo cards and picking out my favorite 2022 images to put in my annual photo book that a few (un)lucky souls will get for Christmas. Whittling down my 2022 favorites to 50ish shots will be challenging. What is gratifying is to see that I really do think my photos are getting better!
