Hello world.

“It all begins with an idea.” Or so says the template for this blog. Except it’s not really true. Sometimes things just happen. I didn’t have the idea to fall in love with taking pictures. Like so many other things it just sort of happened.

I don’t know where this will take me. While photography has found me (or vice versa) in the last few years, there was a while when I was doing a lot of writing and sadly, I haven’t done much of that lately. I’m hopeful that this website and this blog will motivate me to at least write a little. Maybe I will write about taking pictures. Or about vacations. Or vocations. Or the weather. Or whether iced coffee is good. (It’s not.) Who knows? I will try to stay away from politics, though. Ain’t nobody got a need for more of that!

This sample text on this blog template is telling me that there are 1.5 billion websites out there. Does the world need another? Heck no. Is it getting another? I guess so. Do you have to like it? No. Do you have to read it? No. You’re probably just here for the pictures anyway. If that’s the case, enjoy them. I certainly enjoy taking them, editing them and sharing them and so that’s what I’ll do. If I write a few things along the way, so be it.
